How long have you been buying panties for?
About two months; I’m still very new to this world but having a great time exploring it!
Where do you buy from?
I was lucky enough to start on KBBunnies and had time to discover several sellers before their technical problems started. Because of those initial conversations, I was then able to continue talking to the sellers that I really liked, then buy directly from them. I have accounts on a few different sites, but they tend to feel like quite ‘cold’ environments, so I don’t use them to buy from. That said, I’m looking forward to ‘House of Fetish’ properly getting off the ground – one of the creators is someone I’ve talked to a lot (and bought from); her ethos is great and I think that will reflect on the site.
How often do you buy a new pair?
So far, it feels like I’m constantly buying! But that’s because I’m new and overstimulated, lol. Once I’ve chilled out, I anticipate I’ll buy a couple of times a month.
Do you buy additional items from panty sellers? If so, what?
Yes. I’m curious about all kinds of things, and this world is a great way to trial things that spark my curiosity, things I wouldn’t have ever even considered in the ‘real world’. So far, I’ve tried a couple of pee items, a period product, and I’ve just ordered some worn gym clothing and sports socks.
What I love about all this is that I can explore my own curiosity with no fear of being judged. If it turns out I like that particular fetish, I can explore it further; if I don’t, that’s fine too, I can try something else.
What do you look for in a panty seller?
I like to get to know the sellers (at least as far as they’re comfortable) and talk to them about things other than buying/selling. For me, a huge part of the fun, and the turn-on, is enjoying a product from someone I actually like and get along with as a person; when there’s a connection that’s deeper than just ‘sexual’, albeit still in a buying/selling context, it makes the experience so much more enjoyable. If the seller resonates with me on a personal level, I’ll buy from them repeatedly. Oh, and if they’re intelligent AND make me laugh too, that’s the dream seller right there.
What turns you off from wanting to buy?
Essentially, the opposite of the above. I understand sellers get a lot of time wasters (and generally unpleasant people), so I appreciate why they may be frustrated or mistrusting of a buyer like me, who wants a conversation prior to buying. However, that sceptical outlook loses sales, as well as filtering out the ass-holes. That’s one thing; the other is a pushy seller. I’ve spoken to a few sellers who have immediately tried to sell to me, and when I’ve explained that I’m not quite ready to buy, but that I’m interested, they’ve actually been quite rude in their response – ironically, this tends to come from sellers that have contacted me, no the other way round. These are rare exceptions though; generally the sellers I’ve spoken to have been really lovely people.
What advice would you give to a new seller?
Don’t assume we’re all time wasters just because we’re slow to choose, or want to get to know you a little first. We’re not hoping for something more than quality a buyer/seller relationship; we’re not trying to score free items; we’re not trying to get off on the context of the chat. I get that there are people out that are doing exactly that, it’s probably quite common, but we’re not all doing that. And please don’t be pushy sales people; personally, there is no bigger turn-off.
What advice would you give to a new buyer?
Don’t buy when you’re horny – it’ll cost you a fortune, lol! Jokes aside and in all seriousness, don’t be a dick! Remember you’re talking to real people, with real lives, their own families, their own careers, hopes and dreams. Don’t pester for personal information, don’t expect them to be immediately responsive at all times (they’re out there living their own lives), and don’t waste their time – if you’re not interested, don’t pretend you are just to chat or flirt. Above all, just be nice, I promise you, you will get so much more from the experience.
Do you think the market is saturated with sellers?
No. Don’t get me wrong, there is no lack of sellers and it would be easy to get lost in the amount on offer. However, for me, there are a very small number of that population that resonate with me, and who I would actually buy from.
What does the future hold for panty selling online do you think?
That’s a difficult one because I’m still learning about the present. However, I’ve noticed more and more that panty/fetish selling isn’t just a marketplace, it’s a community of likeminded people. It actually can be a really friendly, caring world, where people interact in a non-judgemental way. That’s what I’d like to see more of; that friendly, community feel.
