How long have you been selling used panties for?
I have been selling panties since October of 2020
How did you find out about it?
I am sad to say I was one of the many who fell for the TikTok ploy of “quick and easy way to make thousands of dollars in one week!” I had heard about used panty sales in Orange is the New Black, but never saw it as an option until a seller came across my TikTok feed. They hyped it up to be this “quick and easy” plan.
Where do you sell?
I fully commit to selling on Panty Deal, although I am looking into other platforms.
How many hours per day do you spend selling?
I am active online intermittently from 8am – 5pm, but I am in school so I’m never fully active. And the hours I spend working on my packages varies as well.
Why did you decide to sell panties online?
I was looking for a unique way to earn extra income, and have been complimented many times on my scent so thought, why not profit off of it? I’m a Leo so I need constant attention and this definitely helps.
Do you sell additional items or just panties?
I sell many different worn goods, vials, experiences, and digital content.
What do you enjoy about panty selling?
I enjoy working on my own schedule and the freedom I have to do what I want, but most of all it is something that continues to show me new things about myself.
I have discovered so much about myself over the months I’ve been actively selling, including interests, kinks, and lines I won’t cross. I feel like I know myself better than ever, plus the confidence I get from this work is unreal. I feel like the sexiest thing to grace this planet most days, and the feedback I get from my clients reinforce that.
Another perk is the relationship my partner and I have forged through this as well. We have become more trusting and communicative, and I involve her in my photoshoots. She loves to be a part of my business, plus me making money means I can spoil her. Who doesn’t love that?
What is challenging or difficult about panty selling?
The inconsistencies I find in the platforms and myself are definitely challenging. Some days, the site is just dead, or full of time wasters. It can be frustrating when income is not consistent, or when I haven’t made money and I’m chatting with ten dead ends. Sometimes I want to rage, and sometimes if they piss me off enough, I am pretty unique with my words. Income inconsistencies are frustrating, but that also is on me, because some days I feel like doing the bare minimum, and my finances hurt from that.
Another issue I deal with is motivation. This is normal for people with vaginas because our hormones go crazy throughout our cycle, and honestly, it sucks. During my period, I am the wooorst. I am not as friendly as usual, I don’t want to make sales, I want to eat chips and binge watch crime shows. The flipside of that, ovulation time I make the most money ever. It’s quite confusing and I am still adjusting to the differences in myself and my money.
What’s your advice to someone just starting out?
Gosh, too much to say in one sitting. I would say take your time. I rushed into panty selling because I was broke and naive, and I regret it a lot. I just threw my profile together and made so many mistakes along the way. I was LUCKY to find the Panty Selling Podcast, because a lot of my mistakes I caught early due to Dalma’s wisdom. Take your time to figure out what you will and won’t offer, what prices you are fine with, and what persona you want to embody. There is an ebb and flow with selling that occurs naturally, but you want to set the groundwork for a successful business, and for your own sanity.
What, in your opinion, does it take to be a successful panty seller?
Effort! You don’t have to have a certain body type, a certain type of fetish/kink, a certain personality, or any of the typical conventional society bullshit. You can be anybody in the world, and there is a group of people that will fall in love with you (not real love.. just lust, I suppose.) All you really need is effort! You need to put in the hard work to make this successful, and that means knowing it’s not a quick and easy fix for money. It is a process, and there is a level of quality that will show with that. Buyers know if you’re desperate and barely putting in the work versus a hard worker who is going to earn that money.
How much (on average) do you/have you made per week/month?
This fluctuates for me since I am in college, but at my most active I make around 2k a month. When school is particularly busy in a month, I can make below 500. Again, if I was consistent and putting in the effort 24/7, it would be more even.
Do your friends/family know about what you do?
Most of my closest friends know, but my family will absolutely never know. Not to say I am ashamed or embarrassed, but my family is very judgemental and petty, and I could see them ruining my life over that. But for my friends, it is something I am open and honest about. It’s been quite funny going through this journey, because now I have hilarious stories to tell that they would never get to hear before, for example some ridiculous messages I get, or kinks I never knew existed. I try to normalize sex work to my friends as well, and the best way to do that is to be open and honest.
How long do you think you will do this for?
I can see myself doing this for the rest of my life, but I do have a more traditional professional career I am working towards. I would be happy to do both, although I don’t see that as realistic for my future. Who knows!
